Amusement Park Manager: job criteria

Being an amusement park manager requires a number of skills.

The manager is in charge of:
- the operations (make sure that the park is profitable, fun and safe); make sure that the employees are motivated and involved to ensure proper operation on a long term basis;
- hiring and (unfortunately) firing employees;
- customer service;
The manager needs to be flexible and to adapt himself to situation of the day.

A Manager needs at least a Bachelor's degree (hospitality management, travel, tourism, business administration), any degree that will help to understand customer behavior and to run the park effectively.

In other term, being an amusement park manager requires almost the same skills as another manager, the difference is that he/ she needs good knowledge of this field and experience.

The Web threatens

By reading this article about the monopolization of some websites, we understand that the Web can become a threat if we do not use it properly. The Web can be a threat for people who do not know how to use it but it is also being threatened by some others forces which want to make it more closed. For example, some authoritarian governments or institutions are closing access to information provided by the Web because they think it does not fit with their values but in other terms they are destroying human rights. The major problem the Web is facing is the control on people's behavior. Web users think that they are free because they can say whatever they want but often, online regulators control and allow or not this freedom of expression.
Since 20 years, the Web has increased to provide more and more information but users also have the opportunity to publish information, then who regulates true and fake? Internet is being controlled maybe to much and this is why its future is threatened.
